Wellbeing
Student wellbeing is at the core of everything we do, creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and respected. We believe that fostering positive relationships, resilience, and emotional wellbeing is essential for successful learning and personal growth. Our dedicated staff work collaboratively with students and families to promote mental health, social skills, and a strong sense of belonging, ensuring each student thrives both inside and outside the classroom.
How we support student wellbeing
Supporting each student’s mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing is part of everyday school life.
We do this through:
- teachers who help students feel welcome and included
- access to school counsellors, school psychologists and specialist staff
- programs that support health, social skills, attendance and positive behaviour
- help for students who are new or changing year levels
- clear expectations for behaviour and respectful relationships
- staff who get to know each child and work closely with families
- developing health care plans for students
- open communication about wellbeing and support.

Student Wellbeing & Engagement Program
S.WE.E.P. is a school-funded wellbeing initiative, established in 2019 by 3Bridges and local schools to provide holistic wellbeing interventions in schools through partnerships with community services.
A 3Bridges team member works with our school, delivering 1:1 student support, parent engagement, early intervention outreach, wellbeing events, and community-led programming that strengthens the whole school community.
Being a S.WE.E.P. school unlocks full access to Bridge to Connection, Bridge to Wellbeing, and Family Bridges programs, delivered on-site.
Rock and Water
Students develop a growing awareness of themselves on their path to adulthood.
Specifically the focus is on:
- Practical Anti-Bullying strategies
- Self confidence, self awareness and self control
- Communication skills and interpretation of body language cues
- Alternatives to aggressive verbal and physical responses
- Thinking and being in control, through grounding, centeredness and mental focus
- Boundary awareness
Rock is the symbol used in the program for standing fast for what you feel is right and worth defending. Water is the symbol of strength through cooperation and communication.
