Welcome to Kindergarten

Welcoming students into Kindergarten is a warm and exciting celebration of new beginnings. We create a nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and eager to explore as they take their first steps into school life. Through engaging activities, play-based learning, and gentle routines, our Kindergarten program helps students build confidence, develop friendships, and discover the joy of learning.

K-6 Athletics Carnival

During Term 2, students participate in the Athletics Carnival. We believe in nurturing the whole child—academically, socially, and physically. One of the standout experiences we proudly offer is our Annual Athletics Carnival, held at the renowned Barden Ridge Athletics Track.

Hands on learning experiences

Learning comes to life through rich, hands-on experiences woven throughout our programs. We believe students learn best when they can explore, experiment, create, and apply their knowledge in meaningful, real-world ways.

Book Week Celebrations

Book Week is a vibrant celebration of imagination, creativity, and the joy of reading. Our annual Book Week Parade brings stories to life as students and staff dress as their favourite characters and share the books that inspire them. Throughout the week, classrooms buzz with engaging literacy activities, author spotlights, themed challenges, and opportunities for students to explore new genres and stories.

Multicultural Day

Multicultural Day is a joyful celebration of the rich diversity within our community. Through vibrant song, dance, and cultural performances, students proudly share traditions from around the world, fostering understanding, respect, and appreciation for different cultures. This special day not only strengthens our sense of belonging but also inspires students to embrace inclusivity and celebrate the many cultures that make our school community so unique.

Transition to School

Our comprehensive transition to school program invites students in throughout term 4 within a transition program, meeting their buddies and learning about 'big school'.

Discovery through investigation

Investigation learning encourages students to explore, question, and discover through hands-on, inquiry-based activities. By investigating real-world concepts and following their curiosity, students build problem-solving skills, deepen understanding, and develop a genuine love of learning.

Excursions

Excursions offer students valuable real-world learning experiences. By exploring new environments, engaging with experts, and connecting classroom learning to the wider world, students deepen their understanding, broaden their perspectives, and create lasting memories.

Mother's Day

The Mother’s Day Morning Tea is a heartfelt celebration inviting the special women in our lives into our community. Students share performances, create thoughtful gifts, and enjoy a warm morning together, showing appreciation for the love, guidance, and support these important women provide. It’s a cherished tradition that strengthens connections between families and our school.

Harmony Day

Harmony Day is a celebration of inclusivity, respect, and togetherness. Through activities, stories, and shared experiences, students explore and appreciate the diversity of our community, learning the importance of kindness, understanding, and celebrating what makes each of us unique.

Year 6 Cake Stalls

The Year 6 Cake Stall Fundraiser is a fun and engaging way for students to develop teamwork, creativity, and entrepreneurial skills. Students bake, sell, and share delicious treats, raising funds for their end-of-year activities while fostering a sense of community and school spirit.

Swimming Carnival

The Swimming Carnival is an exciting celebration of skill, effort, and school spirit. Students of all abilities take part in races and activities, cheering each other on while developing confidence, teamwork, and a love for swimming in a fun and supportive environment.

School Show

The biannual School Show is a vibrant celebration of creativity, talent, and teamwork. Showcasing performances from all classes and dance groups, students share their hard work and passion with the school community, building confidence, pride, and a love for the performing arts.

Anzac Day

We acknowledge Anzac Day at the local memorial as a meaningful opportunity for students to honor the courage and sacrifice of our service men and women. Through reflection, ceremonies, and community participation, students develop respect, gratitude, and a deeper understanding of our nation’s history.

Grandparents Day

Grandparents Day is a special celebration honoring the important role grandparents play in our students’ lives. Families are invited to join classrooms, enjoy performances, and participate in activities, creating cherished memories and strengthening the bonds between generations within our school community.

Public Education Week is a celebration of learning, community, and the opportunities public education provides. Families are invited into classrooms to see students in action, explore engaging activities, and share in the excitement of their learning, strengthening connections between home and school.
